NASCAR: J D Gibbs takes over

J.D Gibbs will take on his first season at the helm of a NASCAR Nextel Cup Series team.Gibbs is the eldest son of Joe Gibbs, the race team owner and recently appointed coach of the Washington Redskins. While his dad returns to football, the younger Gibbs will be expected to take on a more visible role with Joe Gibbs Racing this year.Gibbs, president of Joe Gibbs Racing since 1997, is looking forward to the season and taking over where his father left off.
