WWE: Hogan/Mike Tyson, Rock Update, Akebono's WWE Return

WWE has announced that Akebono, who won the Sumo match against The Big Show at WrestleMania this year, will be working their Japanese shows on 7/1 and 7/2 shows in Saitama. He will be in Big Show's corner for his match with Carlito on 7/1, and then do his first straight pro wrestling match ever in Japan on the 7/2 WWE show teaming with Big Show vs. Carlito & Matt Morgan.

The Rock will be one of the special celebrity presenters at the MTV Movie Awards tomorrow night live on MTV.

Hulk Hogan was mentioned on ESPN 2's Cold Pizza today. Jay Crawford, Woody Paige, and Skip Bayless were discussing Mike Tyson, who fights Kevin McBride this weekend, and why people still want to see him. Paige said Tyson has become like a pro wrestling figure and said look at Hulk Hogan, he's being brought back in wrestling because no one could ever replace his star power, the same with Tyson in boxing's Heavyweight division.
