I was in a contest on AOL.com, firstbreak
for supposed new music acts. you have people vote in for a month. today was the last day to vote.
my group AUDIO-DEMOLITION, damn we been in first for the past couple of days. this afternoon we were up 2% which was pretty big, the voting ended at 12AM.
wouldnt you know 20 minutes to 12 the girl in 2nd place
jumps 2% on us! just like that, and we had more people voting for us at that time than any other time, and she jumped ahead like that.
Now the tricky sht is that if u see the icon for the contest it got this bytches face there, cause she looks like a porn star, yet theres 4 other contestants on the board that never had their pic reppin the contest , almost like they had her winnin from day 1. the crazy sht was that she got the pic time but we were winnin the whole thing! and 20 minutes before the end she pulls ahead 4%? impossible. unless AOL spiked her votes. bastards. hat sucks about the whole thing is that its for first time artists, this girls been on american idol, she does disney radio spots, she did mad things in da industry but she wins a firstbreak contest,

if you got AOL type firstbreak,
give an artist their firstbreak.
it was to win a demo deal with Atlantic records and to get a spot on AOL website to shoot a video.

regardless we had it in the bag and AOL pulled a Jeb Bush.

I got a better conspiracy....Why are people still using AOL.

Maybe AOL was lagging a little and you saw such an increase when it finally got updated

cant answer that myself, I'm not big with the internet
in fact this is the only website I ever go to. Been coming here for years.
As for AOL, right now I got free minutes.

Yeah, maybe the server had lag on votes and didnt refresh properly all the time. Anyways, congrats on getting that close....I would be pretty happy with that. Although, nothing is quite like winning.

it would take a day of voting non-stop to move 1 or 2%,
4 just isn't doable even with a bit of lag.

If you look at most polls they always have a margin of error of +/- 4%, so I wouldnt get to caught up with the differance.

yo they had this chicks face next to Kelis & Alicia Keys
for the past two weeks, we were in 1st for the last two weeks straight and we lose in the last 10 minutes?
we had everyone and their slide votin for us, thats all kids were doing all day. It hurt man, it was never even tied, all day we were up 2, then we're down 2 and boom its over?
