From the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:

Wrestling personality Lex Luger — whose real name is Lawrence Pfohl — was arrested Monday morning on I-575 on DUI and other charges, Cherokee authorities said.

Pfohl was spotted stopped on the side of the interstate by a Cobb County police officer, said Cherokee Sheriff's Deputy Nicole Ebbeskotte.

When the officer went to investigate, he found Pfohl, 46, of Marietta slumped over the steering wheel of his vehicle, Ebbeskotte said.

Pfohl woke up and drove away, and the officer called Cherokee authorities for assistance. Pfohl was taken into custody on I-575 at Ga. 92 and charged with DUI, driving on an expired tag, alteration of tag, no proof of insurance and having an open container, Ebbeskotte said.

Pfohl's girlfriend and manager, Elizabeth Hulette, 42, died in his house in April 2003 of an accidental overdose of pills and alcohol.

Not his first run-in with the law, and probably not his last. :smug:

Wrestler Lex Luger (real name: Lawrence Pfohl) was arrested by Cobb County, Georgia cops in May 2003 after they found illegal bodybuilding drugs in his home while investigating the death of his live-in girlfriend Elizabeth Hulette (the wrestling personality known as Miss Elizabeth). The drug bust was the second time in two weeks that Pfohl was nabbed by cops. He was arrested in April and charged with misdemeanor battery for allegedly striking Hulette during a domestic dispute. The second mug shot is from that arrest.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Lawrence Pfohl - known to wrestling fans as Lex Luger - received five years probation Thursday after pleading guilty to possession of three kinds of steroids.

Pfohl simply said, "Yes, sir," as the judge asked if Pfohl was guilty. Pfohl was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and submit to drug tests.

Pfohl, 46, was charged in April 2003 after he called 911 when his girlfriend started choking on her dinner at his east Cobb home. The death of Elizabeth Hulette - known as Miss Elizabeth in wrestling circles -was ruled accidental but caused by an overdose of pills and alcohol. However, police found more than 1,000 illegal pills when they subsequently searched Pfohl's three-story townhouse.

Separately, Pfohl was arrested Monday and faces new charges including DUI. He was stopped on I-575, where an officer found Pfohl slumped over the steering wheel of his car along the side of the interstate, according to police reports. The officer approached, and Pfohl woke up and drove away, the report said.

At Thursday's hearing, Judge Frank R. Cox told Pfohl another similar arrest could affect his parole status on the drug charges which carry a maximum penalty of 25 years in prison.

Cox allowed Pfohl to enter a plea as a first offender, meaning if he complies with the conditions of his parole, his arrest record would be expunged.
