-The Wrestlemania 21 Card is starting to take shape and here are the rumored matches which are expected to be announced over the following months:

*Triple H vs. Batista (Heavyweight Title)
*JBL vs. John Cena (Heavyweight Title)
*Shawn Michaels vs. Kurt Angle (Interbrand)
*Kane & Undertaker vs. Snitsky & Heidenreich (Or more than likely Randy Orton vs Undertaker)

-The reason Shawn Michaels vs Edge is being rushed out for the Royal Rumble is because the WWE wants to put him in a match with Kurt Angle at WrestleMania. Of course, there will be many undercard matches added to the card over the next few months as well.

Triple H vs. Batista should be a great match-up. I hope HHH stomps his azz.

At this point, there are a number of rumors going around WWE circles regarding the future of the WWE Title, many pertaining to the main-event at WrestleMania.

One original scenario saw The Rock defeating John Bradshaw Layfield for a short title reign, although with his status in question, such plans were quite possibly nixed. One of the 'safer' options is for John Cena vs. JBL, which many fans and insiders expect.

Another possibility is having HBK (or another top RAW star) win the Rumble and challenge the SmackDown! champion, similar to the storyline when Benoit won the Rumble.

A final rumor circulating in the lockerroom is a Brock Lesnar return and WM title shot.

According to an interview with Jimmy Hart in Alex Marvez' new column, Hulk Hogan and WWE are in discussion for a Wrestlemania 21 appearance. Hart told Marvez the following: "There are negotiations going on. Hulk has put himself in good position financially and never has to do anything again, plus he's working so hard with his daughter. But the one thing is he still loves the wrestling business." The role Hogan will play at Wrestlemana if he comes to an agreement would most likely be for the WWE Hall Of Fame, as reported by the Wrestling Observer and other sources.

A match that is apparently being considered for Wrestlemania would see Big Show take on Japanese sumo wrestler Akebono.

Akebono was ringside at the recent WWE tapings and shook hands with both Triple H & Big show, something which the Japanese media is making a big deal out of.

This match has not been announced yet and may not take place, however, John Laurinaitis aka Johnny Ace has reportedly pushed for the idea for two big men to face each other at Wrestlemania.

Motorhead, known to WWE fans as the rock band who performs Triple H's theme music, have been booked to appear at WrestleMania 21. They'll likely be performing the Evolution theme music, which they also sing.

Randy Orton is pretty much guaranteed to be out of the main event at Wrestlemania 21, even though there were talks of a triple threat earlier on. At this point it looks like he'll be feuding with Christian into Wrestlemania. Their feud started on RAW recently when Christian attacked Orton after his match with Tyson Tomko.

Another possible match at Wrestlemania is Chris Jericho vs. Chris Benoit is some sort of stipulation match. This match is not completely confirmed how ever as they just faced off in Japan and both men shook hands at the end.

The Dudley Boys are extremely close to making their return. The plan as of right now is to have them turn on Spike, making them turn face which opens up the possibility for a feud with The Bashams. They will probably face off at Wrestlemania or shortly thereafter.

With the scheduled tag match off at WrestleMania, this could open up a spot for Matt Hardy at WrestleMania, with one person speculating of a three way with Kane, Snitzky, and Hardy with Lita at ringside.

-- According to Jimmy Hart on recent media rounds, Hulk Hogan still has yet to decide whether he will accept WWE's offer to appear at WrestleMania.

-- The Chicago Sun is reporting that there will be an inter-promotional match added to WrestleMania between Randy Orton and The Undertaker. It is known that Taker wants to put on a good match as this may very well be his last WrestleMania, so putting him in the ring with someone like Randy Orton would make sense. However, this is absolutely not confirmed and should be taken with a grain of salt.

The current plan for Wrestlemania is Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit vs. Hassan and Divari. There had been talk of putting Benoit with Chris Masters for a feud but it looks as if they may hold this off until after 'Mania.

As of right now, the Wrestlemania card is starting to take shape and aside from the two confirmed matches, there seems to be a bunch of matches that are all but confirmed by WWE. Below are a list of matches that are rumored to take place at the year's biggest event:

- It is heavily rumored that Chavo Guerrero will defend his newly won Cruiserweight Title against Paul London at Wrestlemania. Many backstage are pleased with this as many such as Eddie & Chavo Guerrero as well as Rey Mysterio have been pushing for the Cruiserweight since early 2004.

- Of course, it is pretty obvious to anyone that Kurt Angle will accept Shawn Michaels' challenge and we will have our first inter-promotional match of Wrestlemania. Many backstage are saying this could be the match of a lifetime and will definitly steal the show.

- As the reports lately confirm, it is being said that WWE is scraping its plans to go with Undertaker & Kane Vs. Heidenreich & Snitsky for Undertaker Vs. Randy Orton. This seems to be the better path to go as Orton seems to have no other big plans, and a high profile match-up could give Orton the momentum he needs. Many backstage are saying that Orton will defeat the Dead Man after turning heel in the match. On a side note, Undertaker is expected to retire from WWE competition by this summer.

- According to one backstage source, one agent backstage pitched the idea of Christian Vs. Edge at this year's Wrestlemania, with Christian playing the face and Edge playing the heel. This was only pitched by one agent and was met to mixed reviews by the creative team, so take that with a grain of salt as of now.

- Opponents for the WWE Tag Team, Word Tag Team, & Intercontinental champions are not yet known; however, it is expected that Eddie Guerrero & Rey Mysterio will lose and Guerrero will turn heel on Mysterio thus setting up a big storyline and feud between the two.

- The Women's Championship is scheduled to be defended against Alexis Laree, an OVW Diva. WWE had plans last month to call Laree up by mid March for the match, and last this site heard on the subject, the plan was still going forward. Alexis Laree has been in OVW since mid-2003 and has appeared on many Dark, Velocity, & Heat matches in WWE.

- Finally, the only two matches so far that are confirmed are for the WWE & World Title. Triple H will defend his title against Batista, while John Cena will challenge John Bradshaw Layfield for the WWE title. It is not yet known if Cena will drop his US title before Wrestlemania or if the match will be a "title for title" match-up.

Wrestlemania is little more than a month away and with the way WWE operates, half of these matches could be re-packaged or scrapped by then. Most of the matches listed here are in-fact rumors and should be taken as such, and we will have more on Wrestlemania news as it comes.
