As best we can gather, the releases of Billy Gunn and A-Train earlier this week from WWE were mainly financial. Apparently, both stars were making in
the neighborhood of $200,000 a year and that pretty much cost them their jobs due to the fact that neither have been used in a while, meaning they
aren't bringing the bucks back in.
In the case of Billy Gunn, some personal issues came into play, but the money was said to be the breaking point. In the case of A-Train, it was
strictly financial. This has many of the wrestlers in the locker room on edge, for obvious reasons.
