While Kurt Angle is respected as a wrestler and performer, backstage a lot of the guys are feeling bitterness against him. Angle is apparently now
trying to use backstage political games in order to put himself up, and others down. A clear example of this is him convincing management to have the
baby face Guerrero, who had just lost his program to JBL, to be cleanly beaten again, by Angle at SummerSlam. That caught the attention of a lot of
guys backstage, as they know that WWE would have done things differently if Angle hadn’t gotten in their ears.
One of the main reasons WWE took the title off Guerrero is because of how big of a toll his stress is taking on him. Most of the locker room feels
sympathetic towards him because he is so well liked and respected. Management is well aware of Guerrero’s depression issues and have been trying to
help him out. Vince McMahon has constantly told him that the bad ratings and buy rates are not his fault. Guerrero does have a temper, which runs
throughout his family. WWE feels that if Guerrero isn’t always in the spotlight, he will have much less stress, and that will increase the quality
of his performances even more.
