Earlier this week I received word that the much talked about independent wrestling standout Teddy Hart was in the works with starting up his own
wrestling promotion. The rumors were in fact true and after speaking to several sources close to the operation this can now be confirmed. The
following are all of the details I have come across as of right now, there will be much more to come very shortly:
"H2 Pro-Wrestling" will hold its debut show at The Roxy in Boston, Massachusets on June 26, 2004. Already signed to appear at the event are The Havana
Pitbulls (Rocky Romero and Ricky Reyes), The Stampede Bulldogs (TJ Wilson and Harry Smith), Jillian Love, Los Maximos (Joel and Jose Maximo), Jack
Evans, and of course Teddy Hart. According to sources close to the promotion, a few other big name workers have been signed to wrestle for H2, and
within the coming weeks more names will be announced.
The promotion will be based around a mixture of several styles of pro-wrestling, and will feature pro-wrestlers from around the world. H2 plans to
accept all and any style of wrestling from around the world and the company will try their best to make every show "a surreal live event experience
you will not witness elsewhere." I have also heard that the six-sided ring will finally make it's United States debut in this company. It was rumored
to take place in MLW but all plans were thrown away once the company was bought out.
The company is being funded by WGO - a company based out of China, and the same company that purchased rights to Major League Wrestling (MLW) earlier
this year. Court Bauer, former owner of Major League Wrestling, has been named the President of H2 Pro-Wrestling. He and Teddy Hart will also both act
as Executive Producers for the promotion. Hart will apparently be the main focus of the promotion as he is also named the "ace" of the operation.
More information regarding the promotion is set to be released this Monday, along with the following press release:
"NEW YORK- Ted Hart & Court Bauer are proud to announce a new venture and professional wrestling promotion named H2 Pro-Wrestling. The debut H2
Pro-Wrestling show will take place on June 26, 2004 at the Roxy in one of America’s most historic wrestling towns - Boston, MA at 279 Tremont Street
with a bell time of 6:00 PM... But show up early. Tickets are available now at www.H2wrestling.com and starting late in the week of May 7th at all
Boston area Ticketmaster outlets.
H2 Pro-Wrestling has assembled an experienced staff that will handle the day to day operations and production for H2 shows. Court Bauer has been named
President of H2. Ted Hart and Bauer will serve as the Executive Producers for the venture.
A list of talent for the June 26 Boston, MA H2 Pro-Wrestling event will be announced in the upcoming weeks. H2 has released a partial list available
at: www.H2Wrestling.com, which currently includes: Ted Hart, Havana Pitbulls, Jack Evans, and The SAT: Los Maximos.
