Big win for Bobby Knight and the Red Raiders, that's Bobby's first trip back to the Sweet 16 since '94 when he was coaching the Hoosiers.

I was just looking at the yahoo stats from all the leagues. Out of 270,695 people, only one person picked a perfect first round. I'm surprised anyone did quite frankly, I mean how do you pick Vermont, UW-Milwaukee, and Bucknell?

tournament.fantasysports.yahoo.com...

Only 5 people had 31 of 32.

BobbyK had an impressive 28 to lead our league. He's a real-life buddy of mine, his luck will run out.

More great games today!!!!

6th seed Utah just beat 3rd seeded Oklahoma 67-58.

Only one 3rd seed remains. Arizona should be worried.

Oklahoma, Kansas, and Gonzaga have all failed to make the Sweet 16 from the 3 hole.

Sweet 16 so far --- Washington, Texas Tech, and Utah.

Boston College is in trouble.

They started out 11-0 against the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee but they're losing by 6 with 4 seconds left.

UMW will have knocked out #5 Alabama and #4 Boston College enroute to the Final Four as a #12 seed.

I may be sitting down by 4 points, but I'm really liking my odds at this point. I now lead in the potential points remaining...of course, that will be subject ot change as of tomorrow

NC State knocked out defending national champ UConn this afternoon.

North Carolina's bracket looks a little better without Kansas and UConn.

If you like red, yes. If you like points, no.

I wish they would stagger the game times just a little. They were switching between three really good games, Louisville vs Georgia Tech, Duke vs Miss State, and Wisconsin vs Bucknell. Now all three are at halftime.

Villanove knocked off Florida!

The Heels won, beating Iowa State! :party-smiley-018:

Oklahoma St beat S Illinois.

Mich St beat Vermont.

Yep, those are the standings as of now, we are down to the "Sweet 16"

The games do resume Thursday night.

For all the Vermonts, Bucknells and Wisconsin-Milwaukees that made the NCAA basketball tournament an occasion to remember, the perceived heavyweights of the game are still standing for the Sweet 16.

Illinois, North Carolina, Duke and Washington - named No. 1 seeds a week ago - are alive and well for the tournament's second weekend, starting Thursday night.

The field remaining is a testament both to unpredictability and sameness. Consider: Of the top 16 seeds put in place last Sunday, only eight remain - a fewer number than any Sweet 16 since the 2000 tournament.

Still, the only real Cinderella team left is 12th-seeded Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Every other program is from a so-called BCS conference - except Louisville and Utah, which are hardly upstarts. Last year, the round of 16 included teams like Alabama-Birmingham, Nevada, Xavier and St. Joseph's.

Three matchups jump out: North Carolina and Villanova on Friday in the Syracuse Regional, Washington and Louisville on Thursday in Albuquerque, and Arizona and Oklahoma State on Thursday in Chicago.
