College Sports: too many bowl games?

i think the market is oversaturated with college bowl games, it used to be that earining a bowl bid was a reward for having a succesful season, now it seems like a team is a failure if they don't go to a bowl, i say cut the number of games in half, and make them mean something again, what do you think?

I'm with you, all the way. The games are meaningless, with the exception of the BCS games, and everyone just complains about them. I just checked on ESPN, there are 28 bowl games.That's 56 teams that go to a bowl game. Incredible.

And I'm gonna blame FOX for this, too. Just because.

There is far too many to even keep track of. Its just another way for the schools to make a little more cahs on the side. And to earn some more tv ratings.
