Vera Zvonareva made it two titles in a row with victory in the final of the Cellular South Cup. The Russian star defeated third seed Meghann
Shaughnessy in the final 7-6 6-2. The 20-year-old defended the title she won 12 months ago and needed little more than an hour and a half to sudue the
American's challenge. Zvonareva did not drop a set all week in Memphis and after taking the first-set tie-break 7-3, she broke Shaughnessy twice in
the second set to close out the match.
