Australia's Lleyton Hewitt fulfilled part of a dream on Friday by beating Andy Roddick to reach his first Australian Open final in Melbourne. Hewitt
recovered from a set down to beat the second seed 3-6 7-6 7-6 6-1 and will face Russia's Marat Safin in Sunday's evening final, the first in the
championships' 100-year history. The 23-year-old had never been past the fourth round before but is the first home finalist since Pat Cash in 1988 and
could become the first Australian winner since Mark Edmondson in 1976.
