Joachim Johansson hobbled his way through an epic battle of the big servers on Friday at the Australian Open. The powerful Swede, seeded 11, won a
four-hour encounter against Feliciano Lopez 6-3 3-6 5-7 7-6 (7/2) 13-11.
Troubled throughout the final set by a thigh strain, Johansson was on several occasions just a couple of points from defeat. However, each time he
held his nerve and eventually Lopez cracked.
