Tim Henman has been named as seventh seed for the Australian Open which begins in Melbourne next week.
Henman will be looking to progress further than his performance last year when he was knocked out in the third round by Argentinian Guillermo Canas
after squandering a two-set lead in the longest match of the tournament in 2004. Last season the Briton experienced his most successful campaign to
date when he reached the semi-finals of the French and US Open as well as the quarter-finals of Wimbledon.
If he can continue this form, the 30-year-old stands a good chance of improving on his best performance in Melbourne which saw him reach the fourth
round for three consecutive years from 2000 before being ruled out by injury in 2003.
