The article covers the US Open events since 1980 till 2004.

1. The greatest number of sets

The US Open 1983 was the toughest one - there were played 481 sets. The minimum number of sets (452) were played in 2000 year. This Open (2004) provided us with 479 sets (the second highest value).

2. Most of finals in a row

Ivan LENDL (CZE-USA) played 8 times in a row in the finals (1982 - 1989). And three times in a row he claimed the title (since 1985 till 1987).

3. The longest winning streak

Ivan LENDL won 27 matches in a row since 1985 till 1988. Mats WILANDER broke that streak in the final of 1988.
