Tim Henman is to use American Paul Annacone as his new part-time coach.

The British number one, without a coach since splitting with Larry Stefanki after the US Open in September, finished an otherwise disappointing 2003 with an unexpected first Masters Series victory in Paris.

Henman beat a collection of big names on his way to that victory last month.

He believes he has benefited to some extent from the absence of a full-time coach but accepts he is bound to need help at times too.

Paul Annacone is determined to make Tim Henman live up to his 'Tiger' nickname.

Henman and Annacone are currently undertaking an intensive 10-day training session ahead of Christmas.

And Annacone, who spent the vast majority of his coaching career with seven-time Wimbledon champion Pete Sampras, wants to ensure Henman is more aggressive in future.
