The Daily News' Frank Isola reports that the Knicks could try to trade for Ron Artest, Latrell Sprewell, Antoine Walker, Donyell Marshall or Darius Miles.

The Knicks' empire is crumbling. The team concludes its own trip tonight against the Utah Jazz, hoping to end a five-game losing streak that began nine days ago in Detroit. The Knicks' record is 18-29, they have lost 16 of 18 games and they could be without Jamal Crawford for a few days. Crawford sprained his left ankle in Saturday's loss to Phoenix and is listed as questionable for tonight.

If the Knicks aren't careful, the final 25 games of their season could be one long stretch of garbage time. With the trading deadline 17 days away, the dilemma Thomas faces is whether to make a quick-fix deal that could improve the team's playoff chances or to sit tight, protect his assets and start rebuilding this summer.
