You people don't know anything about basketball.

Kobe is the best player in the NBA.

Kobe versus MJ when they were both 25?

Kobe ALL DAY.

Even though MJ was a better scorer than Kobe, Kobe was a better overall player than MJ ever was at age 26.

If Kobe develops his shot in his upcoming years he would be the best player to ever play the game.

We aren't talking about when they were 25. It's best overall.

And if Kobe goes to jail for the next 50 years then he will never become a better shooter, but even if he did I would say Chamberlain

I guess we will see when Kobe finishes playing, thats if he gets the chance to. Then you can make comparisons and see who is the best, but by then there will most proberly be another rising star that people will compare to Kobe, Jordan ect ect....The circle will be never ending and it all just goes down to personal preferance.

I'm gonna give it 10 or so years, and see if Kobe is winning championships in his 30s like Mike was....

If it comes down between the 2, I'd have to go with MJ, but the best player ever, without question, is still Bill Russell.

We should have a poll on it

Yeah, a poll would be a great idea!

Of course it doesn't matter, since I am the only who's given the correct answer here

So, on the list so far, we've got Jordon, Kobe, Russell, Wilt, Kareem, Dr J, Magic, Bird, and Duncan. Any onther players worth mentioning here?

The best player ever? He was one-dimensional, one of the best rebounders ever, but not the best all-around ever.

Who the hell suggested Duncan? If he goes on there, then I think Shaq needs to as well...hes only been the best (and only) true center in the league for years now.

On second thought, perhaps we should have seperate polls: Best/most talented player and Most Valuable (as in impact on the game) player.

Barring MJ, I think there would be a different type of player that would win each poll.

I was joking. I know that you can't even compare Dennis Rodman with the true greats.Hes terrible next to them.

Did you actually take me seriously???
