Jermaine O'Neal has a bone bruise on his left knee and is doubtful for the Indiana Pacers' game against Dallas on Wednesday.
An MRI exam performed Tuesday revealed the bruise, but no torn ligaments, and no timetable has been set for his return, a team spokeswoman said.
The All Star forward injured his knee in Monday's win over the Chicago Bulls. He collided with Bulls guard Ronald Dupree while trying to set a pick on
the baseline and immediately crumpled to the floor.
Two teammates helped him off the court and into the locker room with 8:21 left in the first half.
O'Neal is averaging a team-leading 20.6 points and 10.2 rebounds a game for the Pacers (51-19), who are tied with Sacramento for the best record in
the NBA.
