The New England Patriots waived quarterback Chris Redman and offensive tackle Lance Nimmo on Wednesday. Redman was signed to a future contract by the
Patriots on January 6, 2005 and never played a down with the team.
The 27-year-old Redman sat out the 2004 season after spending three seasons with the Baltimore Ravens. Redman was a third-round pick by the Ravens in
2000 and played in 10 games (six starts) during his three-year stint in Baltimore. In his career, the former Louisville star has thrown for 1,111
yards, seven touchdown passes and five interceptions.
Nimmo, 25, was originally drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the fourth round of the 2003 draft. He also spent time with the New York Jets and
Cleveland Browns, but has never seen game action in the NFL.
