Outstanding performance by the Patriots, the NFL's latest dynasty. What's more amazing about this dynasty as compared to those of year's past is that this is in the new salary cap era of the league which was partly created to avoid this kind of dominance. Rightfully so, alot of people are mentioning Belichick in the same breath as the late great Vince Lombardi.

Yes, Enforcer, you make some good points. Ming is in agreement.

To think of the NE Trifecta: Indy, Steelers & Eagles! Amazing.

When one thinks of the Pats team that defeated the Rams a few years back, one realizes tha this current NE edition is head and shoulders better than that team was.

In the salary cap era that this team should continue to improve is incredible. The story for next year will be how NE does with new Offensive & Defensive coordinators.

Noting Belichick's incredible attention to detail, Ming's best guess is that there will be an orderly succession of well-primed and trained personnel to fill the breach.

All salute Ming!!!!

And to think that the Pats only have one free-agent not yet signed and that's kicker Adam Viniateri. I'm sure the Pats will make every effort to make sure he remains a Patriot as he has certainly proved he's one of the best kickers in the league and probably the most clutch kicker ever considering his field goals are responsible for 3 Super Bowl victories.

The Pats are an incredible team, like a machine. I agree with Ming that this team is even better than the past few years teams. There's no doubt Charlie and Roman will be missed but Belichick will plug in qualified replacements and the machine probably wont miss a beat. You just have to be impressed with their poise and execution and that all starts with coaching.

I dont think what happened to the 90's Cowboys dynasty will happen to this Pats team either. That team didn't play in the salary cap era but it was big time free agent fest and after a few Super Bowl victories, most of the Cowboys got ludicrous deals from teams across the league. The Cowboys couldn't afford to match every deal and the dynasty fell apart rather quickly. Thankfully they kept the Big 3 together, Aikman, Emmitt, and Irvin, though.

This Patriots team seems like they would be willing to stay together and under the cap as long as they are winning and that could mean many more years of dominance. Some faces will change of course but as long as Belichick remains the constanant and his players buy into his system, they'll win. I heard on ESPN that other than Viniateri, that the Patriots top off-season priority is re-signing Tom Brady to an extension and that Brady said he wont be seeking "Peyton Manning money".

Get used to seeing the New England Patriots making a strong push to get to the Super Bowl the next few years -- even making it back a time or two.

As long as they have the Tom Brady-Bill Belichick partnership, there is not likely to be anything the Patriots cannot handle. It's too much to say this team will become the first team to win three consecutive Super Bowls -- or is it? This much we can say almost with certainty: They will be right there come playoff time again in 2005.

After their 24-21 victory Sunday night over the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl XXXIX at Alltel Stadium, we heard plenty of dynasty talk -- none of it from the Patriots, of course -- and the scary thing is there's nothing to think that it will end.

Aside from a catastrophic injury to Tom Brady -- and even then, don't you think Bill Belichick could will Rohan Davey to seven victories? -- the Patriots will again be the class of the NFL in 2005.

They have won 34 of 38 games -- counting the playoffs -- the past two years, and what's not to think it can't happen again?

With apologies to the rest of the team, Brady is the only piece of the puzzle that is required for another Super run. They've won without Corey Dillon in the past, they've won with Richard Seymour and Ty Law on the bench and they've won with a lineup full of backups. The beat will go on.

Aegis Fang, you have proven yourself to be a leader among men. You are welcomed into the Inner Circle of Ming's Court.

Gibbs, you are in deep trouble.

Ming is pleased to see that almost all are progressing on Ming's Learning Curve. The greatness of NE is there for all but the blind (and yes, my friends, jealousy can surely blind some) to see.
