American Football: HAPPY SUPER BOWL DAY !!!!!!!

I will be watching it and it will be my first superbowl final!

so my question is, when is the NFL gonna get rid of Superbowl Sunday and change it to Superbowl Saturday? I have to work tomorrow so i can't stay up and watch the whole thing and i suspect there are many others like me, not to mention the ones that do stay up and get trashed and go to work tomorrow, there will be so much lost productivity tomorrow that it's just a shame. who's with me on switcihing it to saturday?

I would agree with that as in the UK its on really late at night into the early hours of monday morning. I don't know if i will watch it all.

a change to saturday would work for me, doesn't matter one way or the other to me, as i will be sipping on coffee, eating skyrat's great nachos, and watching from the comfort of my favorite easy chair, but to make it easier for you i will go along with a saturday game next year :approve:

Yeah, I'm having a party here, most of my frineds live 2 hours away, so many wont' make it, as they work tomorrow, and a few even mentioned they'd prefer it to be on Saturday this year...

Now to wade through hours and hours of pre-game matchups and analysis.

Yeah why don't they have it on a saturday? Well i'm getting ready for the game, food and beer will be at hand. It's on to 3am over here in the UK so i'll see how long i can stay up for..

Super Sunday just wouldn't be the same on a Saturday!

Besides, Sundays and NFL football go together like peanut butter and jelly.

the game probably does belong on sunday, hate the late starting time though, would like to see it start about noon

I wish it started earlier too. I guess it starts at 3:30 for you tj, we get a 6:30 start.

At least there are a few other games today. I'm watching the Sixers right now, they're in the 3rd quarter. The Rockets and Lakers play at 3:30 on ABC too.

We have 2 and a half hours before it starts over here...

So whats the predictions on each quarter and stuff. I might have a little wager!

3. Elapsed time prior to first commercial break - over/under 1 minute.

8. Over/under on number of commercials in first break - 3.5

Due to $ concerns for the West Coast audience, the game can't be any earlier in the day.

Ming has always thought that Super Sunday sucks - it should be Super Saturday. A special day for a Specal Game. Having it on Sunday totally destroys really wild, extended SBowl parties. Most people, Ming included, have to go to work the following day. No more Jack and water, please.

It may ony remain on Sundays if SuperBowl Monday (i.e., the day after the SB) is made a National Holiday. Ming does not see that happening soon, notwithstanding the fact that football is the new religion. Hey, shouldn't it be a religoius holiday? Try telling that to the boss and see how it works.

My boss has already declared that if the Eagles are victorious, then we are shutting down on Tuesday so that everyone can go to the parade. Of course after the Pats victory, that point will be moot.
