Chiefs' Holmes sprains ankle
October 24, 2004
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Kansas City's Priest Holmes, after tying an NFL record with four touchdowns rushing in a half, left Sunday with an ankle
sprain.
Holmes apparently hurt the ankle early in the third period against Atlanta while coming just a few feet short of what would have been his fifth TD. He
had carried 22 times for 139 yards against an Atlanta defense that had been giving up only 74.5 yards rushing per game.
The others who have scored four TDs rushing in one half were Shaun Alexander, Eric Dickerson, Chuck Muncie, Roland Hooks and Jim Brown
