From deans-list.net...:

In the NFL, there's never been a correlation between pre-season and regular season success. So to all you pre-season "anal-ysts" out there, get over your fetish for exhibitionism and get it straight once and for all: pre-season football means nothing. As a wise man once said, nothin' from nothin' means nothin', and pre-season hoopla is no different. When it's all said and done, all you can take from these glorified practice sessions is the health of your team. I know, I know, you can't wait for the regular season to start. But sit tight. Real fans wait for the real games to speculate, evaluate and hyperventilate. In the meantime, if you must watch, if you simply can't resist peeping, just remember: you're not watching anything. Because you're watching nothing...

preseason football is actually very fun to watch it if you take the time and patience to watch it. Your right it is pointless but to those 3rd and 4th stringers they are playing for a job out on that field, they are playing that game as if it were their last and that is somehitng else to watch.

Hate to burst your bubble but the real fans watch the preseason. It so long between the Superbowl and the preseason that the sight of REAL football, not Europe nor Arena or CFL, that the REAL fans HAVE to watch it.
