woah!!! why in the H E double hockey sticks do the packers want couch?

considering they want to give him a two year deal he might want to take it.

after the way he's played and acted...i dont his chances of becoming a great QB are all that great.

now i know the packers have to look to the future, a future without favre but surely they can find someone better!

i hate couch. i genuinely hate the guy. everyone thought he was gods gift to football when he was with UK and thats all i heard, couch this and couch that...well couch isnt the golden boy and as i predicted prior to him going into the NFL, he was going to have his ass handed to him. and it has been handed to him time and time again. by those who played against him as well as the fans. (remember when they threw beer at him as he was leaving the field?)

couch sucks. i love the packers and if they do get him...i'm finding a new team to root for. the bears probably. just to be a spiteful person.

yeah well i live in kentucky and college sports is huge here and i am NOT a fan of watching college kids throw away their higher education to make or impress fans withtheir athletic ability. but thats another issue al together.

i hate the guy because so many people put him on a pedistal and didnt seem to reliaze, as they are college sports fans, not professional sports fans that couch was gonna bomb in the NFL. the man is rude and has an ego. he has cursed the fans and has played poorly. he made excuses for his poor performance BY BLAMING THE FANS.

he is an embarassment and i LOATHE the fact the packers are trying to get him at all. the packers are my favorite team and i think them trying to sign him is a bad idea. they have a good QB in the wings already and i dont think they're in a position to be scraping the bottle of the talent barrel just yet to warrant seeking couch.

couch is a last ditch effort. i mean "we just used our kicker and he's better than couch but he's hurt and now we're really desperate" last ditch.

[/rant]

if they get him i better learn to start cheering for urlacher.

Are the Pack going to end up with Couch? I think that would be a goodfit for both sides.

Will George go back to Tennessee? I think that's what everyone wants to see. Has George heard anything from any other teams?

Couch release around the corner?
Cleveland Plain Dealer

"There was increasing speculation late last week that the Browns would end their futile hopes of getting a draft pick in a trade and grant Couch his wish to be released. If for some reason the Green Bay opportunity closes for Couch, there still are small possibilities with at least four teams. Carolina might look to improve on backup Rodney Peete, who is 38; San Diego might opt to release Drew Brees and replace him with him somebody better to shepherd in the Philip Rivers era; the 49ers might need a seasoned starter if Tim Rattay does not recover from major groin surgery; and the Bears may come to their senses and realize they need a better backup than Jonathan Quinn."
