Franchise quarterbacks Peyton Manning and Michael Vick duel for the first time on Sunday when the Indianapolis Colts host the Atlanta Falcons in an inter-conference game.

The top pick in the 1998 draft, Manning is closing in on his second division title with the Colts and is the only quarterback in NFL history with 3,000 passing yards in each of his first six seasons.

Indianapolis have a one-game lead over Tennessee in the AFC South and the tiebreaker edge due to a sweep of the Titans.

The Colts can clinch the division with a win coupled with a loss by Tennessee and can seal a play-off spot with a win on Sunday or a defeat by Miami to Philadelphia on Monday night.

Vick is the number one overall selection in the 2001 draft and, in his first full season as a starter last year, he led the Falcons to the play-offs with a 9-6-1 record.

But he suffered a broken right leg in the pre-season and the Falcons faltered without him, winning just two games.

However, Vick proved he was fully recovered in his first start of the season, rushing for 141 yards and a touchdown in a 20-14 overtime win over leaders Carolina Panthers.

His rushing total was the third highest in NFL history by a quarterback - a record Vick himself holds with 173 yards, set last season in overtime against Minnesota.
