American Football: Keyshawn Johnson DEACTIVATED

Keyshawn Johnson will be deactivated for the final six games of the NFL season.

The Bucs cannot release Johnson because they would take an immediate $7 million cap hit and they're currently just $395,000 under the cap, so releasing him would put them $6.605 million over the cap.

Pretty surprising move but not too surprising considering Keyshawn's relationship with Gruden. I just watched the press conference and they basically claimed that he was a detriment to the team.

At 4-6 I doubt the Bucs make the playoffs, but if they're 6-4 I think maybe they bury Keyshawn's BS and keep him around for the playoffs? What do you think?

Well im not to surprised all the hype around Johnson before the season and he had been pretty poor in the games he played..

i never liked him maybe this will teach him to keep his mouth shut

keyshawn is averaging 1 TD every 25 receptions. it isn't gonna hurt the bucs any, not to mention him and Gruden didn't get along very well. who do you think will pick him up? Maybe he just needs to be Serena's cheerleader full time.

Maybe Terrell Owens when he leaves the Niners this offseason.
