Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Joey Porter is in serious condition with non-life threatening injuries Sunday after being shot outside a sports bar.

Details of the injuries have not been disclosed.

Porter was in a parking lot outside Denver's Best Sports Bar and Grille in the early morning hours Sunday when shots were randomly fired.

One person was killed in the shooting.

Porter, 26, was in the area watching Colorado State, his alma mater, play Colorado on Saturday night.

The Steelers have not yet commented on the incident.

Porter tied for the team lead with nine sacks last season, giving him 28 1/2 over the last three seasons.
