Today the Leafs re-signed Bryan Macabe to a multi-year contract, and Nik Antropov to a single year contract. Keeping with club policy, they aren't disclosing the cotract details.
Macabe is 29 years old. Last year he finnished 4th in Norris trophy votes for leagues best defenceman, and was an NHL second all-star pick. He was third among league defencemen in goals with 16, and 4th in points with 53. He has been a good team leader who plays in all key situations.

Macabe, good to lock him up. But when is Antropov going to reach his potential. Each year he looks like he's going to break out, then eh.

The Leafs need to sign new players. Thats what regular managers do after consecutive droughts in the playoffs. Heck, some managers even get the boot.

As long as people keep buying Leafs stuff and going to games I truly don't think the management cares. The people that own the majority of the team, teachers, are just thinking about their pension fund. The less money they spend the better. Leaf fans are so hard a$$ about the team because, well, someone's gotta be.
