Tampa Bay Lightning - Acquired defenseman Timo Helbling from the Nashville Predators for an eighth-round pick in the 2004 draft.

first-round draft pick and a 2005 second-round pick.
Montreal Canadiens - Acquired center Jim Dowd from the Minnesota Wild for a 2004 fourth-round draft pick.
St. Louis Blues - Acquired center Mike Sillinger from the Phoenix Coyotes for goaltender Brent Johnson; recalled left wing Peter Sejna from
Worcester of the American Hockey League; activated defenseman Alexander Khavanov from injured reserve.
Phoenix Coyotes - Acquired right wing Mike Rupp and a 2004 second-round draft pick from the New Jersey Devils for center Jan Hrdina; recalled
goaltender Zac Bierk from Springfield of the American Hockey League.
Nashville Predators - Acquired defenseman Brad Bombardir and center Sergei Zholtok from the Minnesota Wild for a third and fourth-round draft
pick in 2004.
Calgary Flames - Acquired left wing Chris Simon from the New York Rangers for goaltender Jamie McLennan, center Blair Betts and minor league
right wing Greg Moore.
This list does not include players acquired that were on waivers. The biggest moves were by the Rangers and the Capitals. Both are trying to dump as
much salary as possible before the end of the season. The CBA talks could be interesting.
