nice, the west has got to pull close to the east and they have to step it up and step it up soon.

East wins 6-4!!!

Now to see who the MVP is, I think it has to be Joe Sakic with his 3 goals although he was on the losing team.

Joe Sakic gets the MVP for the 2004 NHL All-Star game.

He got one goal each period, one on each goalie.

Here is his first goal against Martin Brodeur.

Like the throwbacks?????

very nice throwbacks, i like them. Throwbacks are classics.

Sakic played a great game, how about that save that Roli made?

That save by Roloson with the goalstick was just WICKED!!!

Mark Messier didn't get the MVP but he reached a milestone.

Messier set an NHL All-Star game record with his 14th assist by setting up Adrian Aucoin's first-period goal for the Eastern Conference.

Messier, playing in his 15th All-Star game, broke a tie with Ray Bourque, who had 13 assists in 19 All-Star games.

The 43-year-old Messier is the third-oldest player in an NHL All-Star game, trailing only Gordie Howe (50) and Doug Harvey (44).

Amazing save by Roli. Very Hasek like. Too bad Messier did not get the MVP, but Sakic did get the trick.

That was a fun game, end to end action.

Great hockey game, I really like watching the allstars. The NHL is all the best players from around the world, so i think it's safe to say that the NHL allstar game is the best players on the planet.

There was no penalties at all called in this game.

I think they should take the one best fighter from each conference to the All-Star game and let them go at it one time, you know for the fans. What do you think, should I send an e-mail to Gary Bettman?

Oooo, I like that idea. Or maybe during the 1st intermission have the top 2 from each conference go at it. Then the conference winners go at it during the 2nd intermission.
