I highly doub it... Sosa's had 60 how many times?? Hes barely by 550. I know he didn't hit many for the sox, but I think the 60+ made up for that. Same with McGwire, had 49 his rookie season... 70 in 1998, and has 565 or so

He came in at 18 years old. He had a few years head start on everyone. He's 28 with exactly 300. He'll get there... I'll put money on it.

Explain that for me... someone who walks 262 times and still manages to carry his team with 45 HR's? People argue that "he's on steroids, because he hit 73, and only 45 in a season since". Give him that 120 extra ab's back that got stolen from him, (IBB), and he has 70 again. Also, how is a 7-time, should be 8 (Jeff Kent),MVP overrated?

Are you saying he never took steroids?

Nice explination....

I said Teixeira wasn't gonna get 600... Andruw will.

No... I believe he did. but from what I know personally, Steroids don't help a much as people want to believe. I am just able to appreciate and acknowledge his accomplishments.

Whoops... instead of this:

Andruw has never hit for this amount of power, though is a consisten 30 HR guy. At 19 he hit 2 HRs in his first 2 WS ab's. I don't see him reaching 600... but more around 580 or so.

I meant to say he has a very real chance at 600... but I see him getting around 580 or so. But I would still put money on him reaching 600.

how do you explain bonds hitting his peak, when everyone else his age is declining. Bonds never came near the numbers he is putting up in recent years when he should have been in his prime. Anyone who says he just works hard is naive; their are alot of major league ball players who work harder and do not come close to 70.

It takes alot more then a big bicep to hit a homerun; but it sure does help

You can't say just 'cause he got bigger he did roids, everyone gets bigger when they're 41 rather than when their 28. I think he did steroids just because he surged into a power hitter when he was like 36.

but usually guys are at their physical peak from 25-34

They don't get to be the best player ever at age 37, the do it in their prime then cool off at those ages.

so u agree he did roids?

I already said I think he did roids.

I just said I didn't think he did for the reason that he got bigger now then when he was younger.

Bonds has always been a power hitter. And don't forget that Gonzo hit 57 in a sudden power surge, and hasn't even amassd 40 any other time, so I say innocent until proven guilty. But even being proven, my views of Bonds will not change.
