Atlanta Braves slugger Chipper Jones will be sidelined indefinitely after the third baseman met with noted foot and ankle specialist Dr. Robert
Anderson. Jones was placed on the 15-day disabled list this past Monday with an injured ligament in the second toe of his left foot. After meeting
with Dr. Anderson, it was determined that Jones would not need surgery. However, it was recommended that he wear an immobilization boot on the foot
for a period of four-to-six weeks.
