Baseball: NY Mets

what does everybody think of the mets so far this season? they are playing pretty strong behind their new additions, and it looks the Mets can be a contender this season...

They are barely over .500 at this point, but are in what seems to be the most competetive division in the majors, with opnly 7 games separating first and last place. Maybe they can pull it together, an dend the Brave's run at the top of this division.

Pedro's really pitching well and they have been scoring their share of runs. Beltran hasn't been beed so far but not spectacular either. Hard to believe he still only has one stolen base. Beltran has six homers on the season, every one coming in a Pedro Martinez start.

Kaz Matsui has been really struggling, hitting just .224 and dropped from the leadoff spot to 8th and losing starts to Miguel Cairo. Cliff Floyd is off to a great start, he hit his 11th homer tonight.

with the money they spent of free agents during the off season, i would have to think that they are very disapointed with their record to this point, they are in a tough division and are not going anywhere.....toast
