Baseball: Escobar on DL

Angels' starting pitcher Kelvim Escobar was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a right elbow strain. The club made the move late on Saturday night as it trimmed its roster down to 25 players. Escobar began to feel pain in his throwing elbow after his March 30 start. He was examined by team doctor Lewis Yocum on Friday, but did not undergo an MRI.
