News
The White Sox announced Friday that designated hitter Frank Thomas will be sidelined eight weeks with a stress fracture in his left foot. Thomas was placed on the disabled list last Saturday because of the persistent swelling in his left ankle, and an MRI taken this week revealed the fracture. Surgery will not be needed. Thomas was hitting .271 with 18 home runs and 49 RBI this season.

Fantasy owners can plan on being without the Big Hurt the rest of the season. If he returns, it won't be until the final few weeks of September and by that time most roto leagues will have been decided

Thats a blow to the side, Thomas was hitting well.

I think in our fantasy league whoever had him dropped him a few days ago. I'm sure i see him on the list so that was a good move.
