Why does he want out?

They have pretty good team don't they?

I suppose with Schilling gone, he ma ywant to play with him and A-Rod his fromer teammates.

Diamondbacks may be getting ready for big deal

Are the Diamondbacks warming to the idea of trading Randy Johnson to the Yankees? Newsday's Ken Davidoff reports that the Diamondbacks have already begun to scout some of the Yankees' Triple-A prospects.

Mets could target Ortiz

The Post's Mark Hale reports that the Mets plan to make a bid for Ramon Ortiz. The Orioles may also pursue the Angels pitcher.

Finley may return to San Diego
San Diego Union-Tribune

The Union-Tribune's Tom Krasovic reports that the Padres would like to reacquire Steve Finley. The Padres think that the Diamondbacks outfielder would "gladly accept a transfer to San Diego".

Rangers could add slugger

Smoltz thinks Braves need to make changes
