every Sunday night on public radio here in Ohio, I tune in to Hearts of Space. Slow music for fast times.

it's awesome, and my new car has Satelite radio and I get 2 stations - Visions and Finetuning that play space music...

Never tuned in to Hearts of Space, but I do love some space inspired music. Neptune Towers is great... genious space electronic music composed and performed by Fenriz of Darkthrone. Kosmosynth is also great... a project created by a friend of mine. "Pysycho acid synth from outer space", deeply inspired by music used in Transformers, hehe.

I like the song of "exploration of space" because you can see cropcircles in it and also some sort of tringularity (which I always want to see as the triple star system Sirius) and the girls in the spaceships dancing together all on eachother and the satalite and stuff... or isn't that spacemusic?

I've never heard of that one... but I'm new to "space music"... space music is also referred to as Ambient Music..

THe hearts of space slogan is

"slow music for fast times".

The song you're thinking of might qualify, do you have a link to where I might be able to hear it ?

Mile Davis = Space Music?

I am listening to Space of Hearts program... Too slow for me, not electronic enough.

I was expecting some Aphex Twin #

or some Astral Projection.

Cocteau Twins - ROCKS !!

I just heard this the other day on XM Radio !!!

there is a whole station for "space music", it's called Visions

I'm really into Tangerine Dream too, while not really space music, they are totally awesome !!

Odd.

The other day when I described Primal Scream as distorted psych grunge, drunk referred me to EyeHateGod for slow grunge.

So I broke down slow grunge into some sub-genres of which there would be several more, and included Roots, Shoegazing, Surreal and Industrial.

Slowdive fit neatly into Shoegazing Slow Grunge along with My Bloody Valentine.

Never thought of them as "Space" or "Ambient" where Labradford fit better.

Constance Demby.
Made me cry, her music (which at times she improvises on the go) is very moving. Especially
NOVUS MAGNIFICAT-Through the Stargate
