I Was at the easter game (sox v bluejays) It was worth freezing my ass off through extra innings to see ortiz blast that homer over the Green Monster. What is your opinion of Ortiz; do you think he has what it takes to be a lucrative power hitter as his career goes on? Could he be the next Manny?

When Ortiz was with the Twins he was our power hitter. But he was too inconsistent. Pitchers did not fear him and could get him out easily. Only a few times did he come through for the Twins when they reall really needed him.

Maybe an older more mature Ortiz will be better. Who knows. I think he needs time to see what he can do. Maybe the Twins put too much pressure on him, but that is something that we will never find out.

Ortiz is a good player and has been getting better through the years, kindof like aged meat. He seems to be getting more powerful and developing a name for himslef
