Unbelievable, Cubs get 2 runs in the 9th inning to tie the game and knock Milton out of the game. What a turn of events.

Eric Milton, went from a no-hitter in the 9th to a no-decision.

Phils win in the bottom of the 9th though with Pat Burrell knocking in Jim Thome with a walk-off RBI single! :bounce: :tum:

Great game!

They always do, rarely do they blow a team away and let me watch in peace.

NL East

Atlanta 52-45
Phillies, 52-46, 1/2 game out
Marlins, 48-50, 4 1/2 games out
Mets, 47-50, 5 gamees out
Expos, 37-61, 15 1/2 games out

Montreal completed a three-game sweep against the Marlins today, really helped out the Phils and Braves.

The Phils start a four game series in Florida starting tomorrow night, huge series for both teams!!

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Eric Milton pitched eight hitless innings before Michael Barrett blooped a double just in front of center fielder Doug Glanville, and the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Chicago Cubs 3-2 Sunday on Pat Burrell's run-scoring single in the ninth.

Phillies SS Jimmy Rollins stole his 19th base of the year in the third inning.

Yeah, the Expos did the rest of the division a big favor.

The Phils and Marlins both seem to kick it up a notch when they play each other, it's blooming into a nice rivalry.

I've heard that Arizona's Steve Finley wants to be traded by Thursday, I have heard the top two teams in the bid for him are the Dodgers and Phillies. I think the Phils should do what they can to land Finley for the stretch run, we could really use his bat and his glove.

Yeah, it'd be nice to see him in town to finish the run this season.

Huge four game series starting tomorrow night in Florida, the Phils need to get the Marlins monkey off their back.

Should be an interesting week with the trade deadline on Saturday.

What a pitching performance by Eric Milton.

I never knew he pitched a no-hitter before.
