We've won 10 games in a row!

Our hitting still sucks but the pitching staff has just been marvelous.

It's hard to believe they won 10 in a row the way the offense is slumping. Like you said, the pitching has been huge, Kevin Brown looks back to form and closer Eric Gagne is just awesome. The rest of their staff is pitching extremely well also, O Perez, Nomo, Ishii, and Dreifort. Look out if the bats start heating up.

Yeah his movement on his pitches against Milwaukee was as good as it's been in a long time.

Well Odalis Perez, I didn't think pitched that badly tonight.

It's just Jason Schmidt was a stud. That's all there was to it.

Oh I thought you were going to say Gagne.

You guys roughed up Brown pretty good before that last start.

Congratulations to Eric Gagne who set a Major League record with his 55th straight save tonight against the Astros!

We just took 2 of 3 from the Yankees this past weekend.

I thought was impressive because they have the best record in Baseball.

Dodgers 3, Pirates 2 on Alex Cora's 7th Inning homer tonight.

Jose Lima wins his 10th game. 8O It's "Lima Time" baby! :tum:

Darren Dreifort with a scoreless 12-pitch 8th Inning stint in Guillermo Mota's old role.

Dodgers have now won 4 of 5 games since that um, questionable trade.

Thus far the Dodgers seem to be doing well after the trade.

Although *gasp* Steve Finley already has a minor injury, Hee Sop Choi hasn't made a contribution, David Ross has struck out about 6 times in 10 at bats or so since taking over for Lo Duca....

But hey Penny looked good pitching the other day!

Oh and don't get me started about them having to use Gagne for three innings during one game because they don't have Mota...

Bad news from Dodgerland!

Brad Penny just left the game vs the Phillies in the top of the 1st inning. He gave up a homerun to Chase Utley and the first pitch to Thome, Penny walked off the mound holding his bicep. After meeting with the trainers and coaches, he decided to take a practice pitch to see if he was ok and he was in considerable pain after that practice toss. Whatever his injury, I think he made it much worse by throwing that practice pitch, I would think a pitcher would know when something is wrong with their arm.

From the looks of it, he'll be out a while.

Penny left his start on Sunday in the first inning with a strained right biceps. He will undergo an MRI on Monday.
