with the Cal Ripken consecutive games record, did he play every inning of all those games or did he just start all of them?

The streak was just playing in that many consecutive games, he was occassionally pulled out of the game to rest but not very often. What's even more amazing about that streak is that the majority was played at SS which is a very demanding position. His last few years he played at 3B.

Regarding one of the first questions on this post... Wouldn't you consider Ruth as a pitcher, since he was a pitcher? I'm not sure how many homers he had as a pitcher but I'm guessing he had a few.

Nice aegis! I only see one that I dont recognize, #4 "The Bull". Maybe it was also Cepeda, I was referring to the Phillies slugger from the 70's and 80's. You could be right though.

1. Two
2. Hank Aaron and Fred McGriff
3. Aaron - 17, McGriff - 15

McGriff has 35 so far this season, his streak is coming to an end.

Barry Bonds has 13 straight coming into this season and has 77, so he'll have 14 after this year and will most likely join this group next year.
