ORANGE, Texas (AP) -- Two teenagers were charged Monday with conspiracy to commit murder in an alleged plot to shoot more than 20 students at their high school.

what is this world coming too? how can we miss a problem so large that kids belive they must take action for them selves. kids shooting kids this is horrible.

Two 16 year old teenagers decided to shoot over 20 other students. that is appaling. i must personally say that perhaps we should take a little more action at home. talk with kids when they come home from school. we dont need or want another colombine shooting.

what do you think?

what do you think should happen to these kids ?

Too much freedom for kids.

I like it...but it is wrong.

They must have had abusive parents or bad sphere of influence.

This is what I don't like about cops...they give us bits and pieces of a story.

Either give us the entire story or don't give us anything.

I have always said....

IT ALL STARTS AT HOME !!!

Parents need to be more involved, bottom line !!!
If parents can't be involved, then another family member, someone... too many kids allowed to run wild these days...

when I was a teen, I didn't get into trouble... I was affraid of my dad !!

The kids at Columbine weren't abused if I recall....just that their parents didn't pay attention to what they were into...

The root of the problem is that both parents now have to (or want to) work, leaving the kids on their own, and with little supervision while growing up. Add to that, the increasing violence in pop culture, and the glorification of crime in pop culture, and you're making an explosive mix...

What is the difference didn't abuse physically...but abused the children's right to a happy family life.

Why do you give birth to children, if they don't want them?

both of my parents worked...

I would get home from school ( I was the oldest ) 13-14 yrs and would have to watch my 2 brothers until mom got home, usually an hour or so after us...

we knew better than to answer the phone, open the door, go outside, try to cook, we were allowed to watch tv, play in our rooms or take a nap, once mom got home, we could then play outside, but even then, she had to know where, what and with who and how long we would be out.

i think we need to be a whole lot more strict with children especialy in teenage years because that is a hard time for them.

my second thought is why in gods name do these children have access to guns. if you leave your gun unlocked when kids are in the house you should be held just as responsible for any accidents or shootings as the person that pulled the trigger

hate to say it, but as a student in high school, it has nothing to do with parents. it's the fear of the different. it's faschism, it's socialism, it's conforming...parents could moniter everything a kid does, but someway, they're still going to # something up.

When I went to school, the Goths, the Geeks, Jocks all got along. I was with the Preppy croud, and we all got around just fine.
Thier were Goths that played on the Highschool football team, soccer team, etc.
Thier were so distinction, no bullying.
Thier were fights, but always motivated but either drugs, or just stupid arguments, nothing to elevated.
But then again Im also from Canada!
