How did you end up in there? The government get ya?

It must suck being locked up for a week.
:bnghd:

A friend of my dad once worked in a 7-11. A man came into the store and held him up at gunpoint. Panicking, he opened the register and started counting out the money. Then all of a sudden, he leaped over counter and started beating the $%^& out of the gunman, and thn called the police. When they came, they took the gunman into custody and locked him up as well, on charges of assult. He spent 6 hours in jail.

OK, get this. Five years ago I was in a car accident. The injuries I got from said accident, put me in a coma for 2 weeks and I was in the hospital for a few months, under observation, after that. While I was in the coma or in the hospital (I don't know when actually), I was issued a misplaced passenger (no seatbelt) ticket. A warrant was issued and that is what I was picked up on. It was a failure to appear warrant so, it was a $400 cash only bail. I sat in jail for a week waiting to see a judge. When I finally did he laughed it off, threw out the charges and said he would have the officer who brought me in written up.

Jail isn't as bad as you would think though. It's like being sent to your room or, more like a daycare for tweakers.

Well, that's a interesting story.

I think it's just that I get really tensed up whenever I get into trouble...

I usually do too. This time I wasn't too concerned though. I didn't have anything to do this week anyways. It was almost like a vacation, one with out any sightseeing but, a vacation none the less. Would I never go back? No.

I took it as a good life experience though. Now when I write my life story, there gets to be a chapter about my time in jail. There are some really interesting people in jail.

Did you meat "Bubba"? Theres always a Bubba at every jail for some reason.

No dude. The big mean guys and the "Mo's" each got their own cell block and, there's no big lunch hall or any of that other stuff from TV. It's a new jail so, I think they worked things out so little wimpy guys wouldn't get sodomized. Where I was, the people were either 50 year old homeless alcholics:w: or, people who had felony charges for meth and stoners.

No, dude. You don't have to do anything and, no one fights. They have books, TV, soda all sorts of amenities. It's not that bad no matter who you are.

I've never been to jail or arrested (thus far) I have spent time visiting people there though..and I myself could not imagine being locked in a room or feeling trapped, even for a short time. It would be the 'feeling' of knowing you can't leave if you want to..

And then the judge just laughed it off?? Yeah, let his ass spend a week in there

That is the worst part. I wasn't worried about being hurt or ass raped, I just couldn't go anywhere, that's what sucks about it.

You should write a book. You could be like Dostoevsky.

Dostoevsky!

Sound more like Franz Kafta - being in jail for a crime that you committed whilst in a coma

I was awake while I was commiting the crime, being put in a coma was the cause.

You are remarkably forgiving....

But I think you're missing the point...you sat a week in jail, for NOT WEARING YOUR SEATBELT?????

Remind me never to drive through Utah!!!

As far as "jail" goes...sounds like you were just in county holding, that kind of thing...(though dude, jail is still jail) Don't let it underscore what REAL prison is like though... My dad used to go to the county klinks all the time (for DUIs)... For him, it was like a little vacation, he'd play darts and pool, and get a break from the family....

Actual prison on the other hand, from what I've been told, is far different....and does more accurately fit what you see in movies, tv, etc.

Yeah, I don't think I'll ever go to prison though. I'm too lazy to be a criminal.
