Deus Ex was a masterpiece of gaming. By far the greatest video game I have ever played. It also got me into conspiracies also. I liked the free form gaming and the atmosphere of the game. Haven't got a chance to play the second yet though. If its even half as good as the original I'll be happy

I've had DX2 for a couple of weeks now. Haven't spent too much time playing it yet. If you want conspiracy there's even more in DX2 than the original. End up getting pretty confused about who to listen to and what to do, with the different organisations and sects in the game.
Not made up my mind about it yet. The graphics are ok, but you need a decent pc to really appreciate it.

Also, I don't find the main character (Alex) as interesting as JC was.

I won't bother ruining the plot of the game, but there are several key characters from the first one in it who make a welcome return.

Deus Ex is my favorite game of all time. GREAT story, good graphics, multiple ways to play...for me it was perfect. I was kinda interested in conspiracies before playing it, thanks to The X-Files, but Deus Ex pushed me over the edge.

Concerning the towers, I personally hadn't noticed it, but I had heard it discussed before. Creeped me out.

Deus Ex was on of the best games I've ever played, as you might've gathered from my choice of avatar. JC Denton FTW!

Second game was underwhelming in the game play department and some of the story elements were shotty.

Hope the third game doesn't suck.

And yeah, there is A LOT about conspiracy theories in that game...especially if you really read everything; all the terminal news bits, the emails, the newspaper, the tv shows, the personal tablets and panels everywhere...

Really, fantastic game. Truly a masterpiece.

I remember when you're in Paris and open up one of those news computers on the streets, and there's this text saying something along these lines:

ICARUS HAS FOUND YOU!!! RUN WHILE YOU CAN!

All over again about ten times or so.


That was like a slap in the face to me. Like, they were saying, "Dude, you better prepare for it, because this is the future." I was pretty freaked out after that; that's how good this game is.

And yes, as somebody said back in 2003 in the start of this thread...this game really does free your mind. It was the reason I woke up, too.

In my opinion, though, the 2nd game was a 360 in anti-NWO statements - the Illuminati being created to further humanity - the Greys being genetically engineered by MJ12? Small stuff like that, but all in all, in my opinion it held a pretty pro-globalization agenda unlike it's predecessor, not to mention a bit of twisting the truth to fit in a positive light instead.

Of course, one might argue the first game did that too, with the Illuminati. I don't know, though. The first game had a different feel to it.

Yeah, when President Johnson got killed after spilling his guts, all I could think was, "NWO, NWO, NWO!!!" After that, it was basically an Illuminati textbook on how to take over the world. Really, REALLY great game. It's probably my favorite among the MGS-games actually.

i played this game this year after 10 god damm years late.

wow just wow this game is not a game,its a way of life.i really hope that the net going down ending happens cuz thats the only way to stop nwo.

Deus Ex is an awsome game! I never played part 2 but i badly need to. part 3 is comming out this year i think. Anyways.. I think I was about 15 years old when that game came out in 2000 which is when i bought it. Im kind of embarrassed to admit it but that game is what got me investigating the NWO and world affairs. Then 9/11 happened and I got even more interested in what is "really" going on. Eventually I found ATS and ive been a member on and off for the past 10 years. Maybe there is truth to every story. Perhaps if there were more games and movies like Deus Ex more people would become interested and therefore eventually, informed.
