Okay, in step with all the "Whats the best" threads about weapons, I figured someone should make a "Best Handgun thread"

So, without further adue, I open the "What is the Best Handgun" thread

My vote would have to be either for the U.S./Israel made "Badboy" Desert Eagle .357 Magnum

Specs:

- 10" Barrel
- Integrated Scope
- .50 AE caliber bullets
- 9 Round capacity
- 159mm In Height
- 32mm In Width

Now, the DE has HUGE recoil, and you surely gotta be careful when handling this "big-boomer" as it has been nicknamed. Sure, the recoil typically sucks, but if your close enough, this thing, with it .50 caliber bullets, can literally pick someone up off their feet.

What is your pick for Best Gun?

From Ceska Zbrojovka, the CZ-75b. I've held this gun in comparison to the Beretta 92FS, and the CZ-75 has better ergonomics than the 92FS. The safety can be engaged with the hammer cocked, allowing the weapon to be carried and fired like a Colt Government Model or Browning High Power. Normally, when a round is chambered in a pistol you can hear or feel some resistance as the cartridge is fed into the chamber. The CZ-75B operation felt without effort..

For a 9mm handgun.. I choose this one

Nice nice...I also love the Mark 23 SOCOM. Primarily a Navy SEAL weapon, it provides accuracy, it is small enough to conceal easily, and can be fitted with a nice silencer. It also provides good power, as it is a .45 Caliber handgun. The civilian version, the Mark 23 (without SOCOM - Special Ops Command) is fitted with everything except the silencer, and a few extra military only components. Heres the pic:

My favorite handgun? A S&W model 586 .357 magnum wheelgun. Real men carry wheelguns.

Still you cant beat the M1911 45. One of the best in the world. The US should have never gave it up.

Because it is worth that.

In my opinion the Desert eagle is the best or close to

the best gun.

Either a Colt government issue 1911 (.45), an FN five-seven (think of a pistol chambered for the P-90's round) or a Glock 18 select fire. Yes, an automatic pistol with an extended 31 round mag. Be afraid.

Be VERY afraid.

You can almost put your head in there!

J/K

Thats a beauty and a killer.

One shot and it will blow half of your HEAD off!

The Model 18 Glock is a good gun. It is small, automatic, and fast. The price isn't the only drawback to the DE. The DE has a MASSIVE INSANELY HUGE kick to it

Which sucks, because if you fire that thing wrong, say, lock your arm, it could snap your arm because of its kick and recoil. :/

But other than that, it looks like we have a winner.

The Desert Eagle .357 Seems to be the winner!

IMI Desert Eagle is not really used in anything else than in games and in action movies..

The real all time choice for the best Side-arm/Handgun is:

FN High Power!

Made in tens of millions..

Used and build by both Axis and Allies during ww2..

Still in production and in use!
