Not to start a major argument here, (even though I'm going to!) what is the best beer in the land?

Lite?
Bach?
Sam Adams?
Just an old Brewsky?

Enjoy

Don't drink beer much any more but when I did I enjoyed "NewCastle Ale" and "Lucky Lager". Loved the Lucky bottle caps too!

Red Nectar is an American Ale with a deep reddish copper color and sweet malty notes from English crystal malt. The crystal malt comprises nearly 15% of the grist and gives our Red a toasted caramel flavor and a residual sweetness and malty aroma which melds with the strawberry esters of our own strain of ale yeast. We use two-row Harrington-Klages pale malt, a superior blend of ale malt, and in all our beers we add a small proportion of Pacific Northwest Malted white wheat. This aids in head retention and lacing in the glass. Red Nectar is brewed with Chinook hops for bittering, Willamette in the middle for a rounded hop flavor and Mt. Hood and Cascade in the finish for a delicate floral/spicy aroma and flavor.

ok, I have to get in on this living in Germany and all

hmm...where to start....Paulaner, Krombacher, Becks Gold, Mai Boch (only comes around in may but is around 8% strong) there's around 3500 different beers here, soooOOoo if I had to choose, definitely Paulaner. It's a nice Weizen beer that looks like cloudy apple juice when poured from the tap. Has a nice foamy head, is best when room temperature, and is served in 0,5 liters and packs a mean punch.

Unfortunately, its not distributed outside of some niche markets in the West..or am I wrong? Any of you mid-westerners or easterners heard of Red Nectar?
