How many people have actually read the poem through? It is a stunning piece of literature and as you can tell by my avatar and signature, I adore this poem.

People that haven't read it really should. Many people think that it is overly complex and difficult when really it isn't. I read it when I was in 9th grade.

It will take me another three score and a few years to finish it. I have several translations.

More influential than Shakespeare on many things including the cosmology of the time, and so important to Paradise Lost which I haven't ever finished either...

Hmmm. Unfinished business. Purgatory.

I haven't finished Paradise Lost either. I should get on that but I never seem to have the time.

Hmmm.

I read it and thought it was wonderful. It kept my attention the whole time (and that is a feat).
