Do you think there is a difference in how many people 'worship' and what some actually are worshipping? I understand that a person can have faith and worship in the Creator, and the creation, but is there a fine line somewhere between the two that may reveal through enlightenment/whatever, that all along a person has been putting more faith in the creation itself?

This is rather hard to put into words..just random thoughts for the day I suppose. But comments would be appreciated whether relevant or not to what I'm trying to ask/say..comments and thoughts sometimes bloom a point trying to be made somewhere in my train of thinking

I don't think the distinction is all that fine.

Sometimes people worship things that they are not, or that they cannot be - for reasons of their psyche - which appear to have nought to do with spirituality but which in fact are deeply spiritual to them as less evolved beings.

Hero worship of athletes or celebrities is a prime example of worship in a materialistic sense. Worship of cars or inanimate objects is another equally interesting bent that people take. And all of that is good in some measurable ways for capitalist economies.

I have a small amount of worship for things that to me are signs there is a divine creator. So if I find a relationship with a supreme being through these 'footprints' that must be OK - mustn't it?

Like the habaneros that I grow, and the best ales, and single malts, and a couple of other unmentionables, all signs of a creator with a higher purpose. To me.

Thank you so much for your thoughts..

You gave exactly what I needed for that little 'mind puzzle' there.

I think it's important to acknowledge your creator, whatever form that may take.

It's no coincidence that in times of crisis many find & receive solace when they reach out to their creator for help.

I have noticed that those who deny their creator tend to experience more impoverishment than others.

That's my observation.
