the u.s. govt is just as corrupt so thats not a good excuse for you, can the flir technology pick up oil rigs in the infrared? all that needs to be done is fly over the oil rigs with the flir system and see if you get the same results, i didnt know oil rigs were set up in clusters like that hmm

OMG I can't believe what I'm reading. People are ready to accept all the crap and gargabe being told by the 'specialists' and 'scientiests' but to believe what they are seeing with their own eyes. The whole sighting lasted 11 minutes. Those objects gave a chase to the military planes. How hard is this to understand? And how hard is to keep in mind that there is no such a thing as 11 minutes flare. There is no such a thing as oil rings chasing planes in 10.500 feet altitude.

Try to watch the whole video and you'll see the amazing number of UFO-s cought on camera. There were hundreds and in clusters. Gee how hard is to break a believe system... how hard is to overcome to our fears...

Check the video here:

Man... nobody here gets it. Nobody reads the articles fully, nobody wants to believe anything except their own automatic belief that every flash of light in the sky is an alien spaceship. Quite honestly, it's easy to understand why most people snicker at alien believers...

Read the articles and you'll find out such meaningless trivia as; The only radar contacts the plane detected turned out to be a truck on the hiway.
The clouds seen in the video were close to and below the plane, which places the lights down on the horizon.
The distance to the oil rigs was about 110 miles, making the gas flares invisible to the naked eye but still visible to the sensitive military infrared camera.
The plane was flying in a tight circle, making it appear that the lights were flying in an opposite circle and surrounding the plane.
And finally, you may even come to the conclusion that the flight crew were inexperienced with the camera equipment and nervous about the unidentified targets, then got disoriented flying in circles, and that's all there is to this whole story.

But how do you know I'm not a disinformation agent paid by the government to make up this ridiculous story that's such an insult to your intelligence? Because there are these huge freaking oil rigs with these huge freaking gas flares burning 24 hours a day in the exact same location shown on the video. :shk:

too bad everything you just wrote was hogwash, if the govt was paying you to get us too change our mind they ought to ask for their money back

Let See what happen:

* Plane crew are militaries, they are doing working against drugs (narcotrafic)..they use to fly very often this same path too look for any strange plane smuggling drugs to mexico, they know the terraine and now were are the oil rings.

*The crew of the plane detect by the video something that isnt supouse to be there ,flying on their same level but a few miles away of them. They try to make visual contact, the pilots and crew doesnt see anything with their trained eyes. They follow them in the distance

* They follow this lights at some distance for around 7 or 8 minutes, then 3 lights from the rest suddenly brake up the formation and start to follow them, their radar detect 3 signals, one behind them and the two other on the sides, they are confuse about what's going on and afraid (you can hear that on the conversation between pilot and crew man, they sound confused), the rest of the lights doesnt signal any radar detection and only can be seen with Flir camera.

* Because of been afraid on what's going on and the 3 lights following them closely they decide to shut down the lights of the plane..they think with this can send a message they are not a treath, at least that's what the pilot and crew explains in the interview and dont been detected.

*The 3 lights decide it's enough and fly away from them, the crew is puzzle of what happen, the incident last about 11 minutes.

* The military send the video and conversation to their own military investigators, they dont know what it is, they try to explain it in conventional ways know to scientific communities (Swamp gas, plasma lights, oil rings, falling debris or meteorites in the skye and so on)..they dont see anything match this video.

* They send the video to Jaime Muassan, they know him because he recollets UFO's videos around mexico and do investigations, they send it because tthey think he is the right guy to come up with the video on national TV, they already said they dont know what is it and try to found another way to explain it.

* The video gets a lot of attention it's send to all news network, many try to disagree with it with the same explanations the military personal first try to solve it but again it doesnt match any know aerial phenomena, they even came up with some balloon race held in mexico city (Toluca), thousand of miles away from the actual sighthing(Campeche). News station only pass a very few time of the footage, around 1 minute on their news, the scientific community says it's ball lighthing, they dont knwo the video last for 11 full minutes.

So this is the story so far, about the skeptical enquireer, they i think are real mistaken, it's like Popular mechanic's issue explaining 9/11...who believe that faulty and so terrebly wrong explanation? nobody, people are not fools...

So anyway what is it? nobody knows. new govermental experiment? a new aerial phenomena natural in earth?..a UFO? alien aircraft?...nobody knows..

But this goes in the category of UFO's if you read good the UFO Letters....Unedentified Flying Object....

What's 'credible'? Which would you believe? BBC, CNN, FOX (which according to you is crap!), NBC, Democracy Now, Liberty News, I.N.N. World Report, NPR. Reuters, Times Now, etc etc.

What's your idea of a 'credible' news channel??

It could be oil rigs but that seems like something obvious the Mexican military would have thought of. I'd like to see something concrete. Like a scientific study showing, yeah if you videotape oil rigs in a manner similiar to what happened on that film, it looks the same. Some website isn't going to do it. It remains unidentified at this point.

You people should watch the entire original footage, it is much longer than the link posted and it is clear and undeniable that they are object travelling through the sky. The thing go through clouds, move faster than the aircraft, and eventually dissapear ahead, while one of the lights trails the airplane (following it). Its ok to be a skeptic, but to be an irrational skeptic just makes you stupid.

What's 'credible'?

The Fox News Channel (FNC) is a United States-based cable and satellite news channel. It is owned by the Fox Entertainment Group, and is a subsidiary of Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation. As of January 2005, it is available to 85 million households in the U.S. and further to viewers internationally, broadcasting primarily out of its New York City studios.

When a network is capable of reaching so many, then it must surely play some role in the lies the population are fed on a daily basis. The sort of lies that would ensure that the majority of the population would look at something like this, laugh their ass off, and deride you as a nut.

That is how control over thought is enforced.

Media mogul Rupert Murdoch is the Chairman and CEO of News Corporation, the owner of Fox News Channel. He has been a subject of controversy and criticism as a result of his substantial influence in both the print and broadcast media. In America, he is the publisher of the conservative New York Post newspaper and the conservative magazine of opinion, The Weekly Standard. Accusations against him include the "dumbing down" of news and introducing "mindless vulgarity" in place of genuine journalism, and having his own outlets produce news that serve his own political and financial agendas.

Now, a huge part of this control structure, the opiate which keeps the masses slumbering peacefully suddenly shows three shimmery lights, and it's the mothership?

In February 2003, a Florida Court of Appeals unanimously agreed with an assertion by FOX News that there is no rule against distorting or falsifying the news in the United States.

Yeah, as far a choosing a credible news channel, they're all controlled. They feed the public nothing but misery and useless crap to keep our attention averted from the REAL news. The news the government doesn't want us to know about. ALL NEWS CHANNELS ARE BS!

And now back to your regular scheduled cover-up.
Edited for vulgar term
Replaced with BS

Like many, I was first excited by the idea that here was a national military coming out and saying they captured UFOs on infrared cameras...

However, even cursory research (and enough is provided here in this thread to jumpstart anyone's independent investigation) shows that the oil rig explanation fits the facts exactly and seems to be the logical conclusion.

I'd much rather believe otherwise...but logically the oil rig explanation best fits the facts.

I'd recommend visiting the site of Capt. Alejandro Franz, the investigator who first broke this:

Thank you Gazrok. I hope some people will take the time to view that link and look at the facts with an open mind.

stop with the little white lies, you people believe anything how sad is that, your never going to change our mind so why are you here, some ignorant person took the time to make up a web page to try to convince the other ignorant people that what you see isnt what you see, if you think us smart people are going to fall for your lying ways your dead wrong

Whoa! Members are merely providing their information and their conclusions. You are free to agree/disagree, believe or not believe...but it's no reason to accuse anyone of "lies"...

If you prefer, go to the NARCAP site, and see for yourself that even UFOlogy groups are supporting the Oil Rig fire explanation...

It matters not to me what members wish to believe, I'm merely presenting the info to decide for oneself....

to decide for ourselves and do our own thinking....

We can all disagree, but lets stay civil at least...

my opinion:
if u think carefuly about it and think about how big the universe it is very likely that some other form of living thing has evolved just as we did so this video could be fake or it could be real its all up to u whether u believe it or not

But in regards to THIS particular video, the facts and the research point to oil rigs as the sources. Also, all should remember these are infrared (not visual) films, so yes infrared signatures (such as an oil fire) are going to easily wash out the weaker signatures of clouds, etc.

I'd much rather be able to say, "The Mexican Air Force has conclusive video showing ET craft" than "The Mexican Air Force has film of oil rig fires", but sadly the latter seems to be true.
